Water conditions on Whiskeytown Lake are favorable this week and the Kokanee bite is very good! Lately the hardest part of the day is getting these hard pulling salmon to the net and enduring the hot days on the water. We're finding Kokanee at 55' feet right now in all the usual places Whiskeytown produces. We have had a great bite on pink baits behind small dodgers lately and can say the same for orange. Water temps are running at 75 deg's on the surface and are pushing 80 deg's by days end. Look for the bite to continue to build as July approaches this next weekend.
